Modding Tools

Hi,

I have recently finished my first playthrough of the game and I absolutely loved it! Certainly one of my favorite turn-based games to date. I'm aware that a Grimrock-style level editor is in the works and I'm curious if there are additional modding tools planned as well. Will it be possible for me to edit / create new weapons, abilities, enemies, or even characters for the game? These kinds of mods would allow for endless replayability.

Anyway, thank you for the amazing work you've done in producing this beautiful gem of a game. Time for me to get started on my second playthrough :)

Yes, all of these should be possible with Lua scripting. Would you be interested in beta testing the editor and modding tools?

Oh absolutely! I've already begun designing a few ideas for potential mods. I would love the opportunity to get started and to help you with testing.

hello, I would like to know if with these tools we will be able to translate the game to another language?

I'd like to be able to translate it into Spanish. The game deserves it, it's really entertaining.

Hi! Unfortunately a full translation is out of the scope of what is possible with modding. Many strings are hardcoded in game code and levels. Also the game font only contains glyphs for english.

Thank you for answering, Petri.

It's a terrible shame  . Hopefully in the future if there's a sequel, consider language support.

It is always more comfortable to use your native language with leisure products.

PD.:

The game is fucking good. I really liked the game proposal. It's hard to find games like those of years ago, with such a careful technical section, and that know how to capture so well the playable sensations of yesteryear.
