Shinobi here...

Post by BooN » Tue May 21, 2019 11:19 pm

Hello guys.

The game was running fine today in the morning.
Now, when the game starts and I am in the main menu - if i click Continue, the game goes black for a moment and shuts down, shinobi window pops up with the following:

savegame.lua:0: Read failed on file C:\Users\pick up\Documents/Ctrl Alt Ninja/Druidstone/savegame33.sav
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'shb_read_bytes'
savegame.lua: in function <savegame.lua:0>
savegame.lua: in function 'load_game'
savegame.lua: in function 'request_load_game'
main.lua: in function 'display'
main.lua: in function <main.lua:0>

Shinobi file is situated in C:\Users\pick up\Documents\Ctrl Alt Ninja\Druidstone
the only thing i have changed since morning was Always Open .avi files with VLC player.

I do not have any idea what to do with these "/" and "\" symbols.
Would be appreciated for any help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi! Could you send savegame33.sav to the following email address so we can have a closer look:
contact (at) druidstone (dot) com

Thanks!

After some extensive testing i have a savegame where you can "Exit and save" freely, but once you end that exact turn, the next time you "Exit and save", you will have that shinobi error upon trying to "Continue". I will send that "turn zero" savegame today.
I have day 1 version.
